June 5, 2015 - We are working with the best port communicator in the world. Last week, the renowned global alliance of ports (IAPH) decided to give the Port Communications Award to our saltiest client – The Port of Gothenburg
Valentin&Byhr has been the head agency for The Port of Gothenburg for several years and we are thrilled to see our client awarded with first price for the best communications initiative of the year. The storytelling used in the winning digital concept is one of several tools we've developed over the years to help illustrate the port’s intense logistics processes in getting Swedish products successfully out into the world.
A small sample of the products that are shipped from the Port of Gothenburg every week.
- Our goal was to make the communication interesting to more than the typical target audience, says Johan Mark, copywriter for The Port of Gothenburg. I think it’s safe to say now that we have succeeded. We have worked side by side with The Port of Gothenburg throughout, determined to position the port as open to the world for the entire Scandinavian industry. Never losing sight of our job to help the port grow in the most sustainable way possible.
IAPH is an international association of ports and maritime organizations. The association has around 350 members from some 90 countries. IAPH promotes collaboration between ports, acts as a consultative body for the UN and plays a key role in developing international trade and maritime policy.
The Port Communications Award was established in 2011 to enhance communication at the world's ports and to highlight the impact of innovative communication when explaining how essential ports are to world development.
